Crystal Parasite

This work is a concept design that explores the unsettling juxtaposition of rigid geometric forms and organic textures. The flawlessly transparent crystalline structure of the outer shell is modeled to contrast with the amorphous and veined organic texture inside. Refraction and Subsurface Scattering (SSS) techniques are used in the material studies to emphasize the sense of depth.
